so are you saying you think the bloc only displays integrity because it has not had the opportunity to abuse the trust of the people who voted for it?

Isn't that the same integrity the NDP enjoys federally?

I've always assumed that is why the NDP appear to be on their best behavior....they haven't been caught with their hands in the cookie jar, because we won't give them access to the cookie jar.

Re: RE: Pan-Canadian Bloc

Again, BQ and PQ are coalitions party. Their goal is independance. So there is people from right to left in these coalitions. You have to be one hell of a party to be able to unite right and left people together for the cause. Though there is more left people in the BQ. But it reflects the minds of lots of Quebeckers and probably many Canadians which is: they tend to think right on economics related subject, but on the left on values. This is a real danger.
Though that's another subject and it has nothing to do with sovereignty.

Actually, that's the one thing I thought the Bloc had going for them. Why would you say it was dangerous?

As far as elitist, etc: i would say the bloc represents integrity in federal politics.

Integrity? I guess you could say taht, they are loyal to those that support them, which is commendable. But that group is a very small portion of our country. i don't see why a party whose platfrm is" I'm taking my little French boat and sailing away, the rest of you poor Canadian buggers can drown for all I care." should be able to contend for leadership of our country.

And before you bring up The Conservatives bias towards the west, or the Liberals preference towards Ontario, I recognize that as well, and I similarly dislike it. But at least these parties nominally support changes and improvements for the rest of Canada, as unbalanced as the may be.
