RE: Ontario's link to Kyo
S-Ranger. If you breathe more oxygen will get to your brain and you'll make more sense.
I've read those two posts a few times now and I still don't get your point(s).
I suggest that you look up the North American power grid that Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba are all connected to. This enables producers of electricity to add to the grid in say manitoba or quebec, and consumers of electricity to extract electricity from the grid in say southern ontario.
You really lost me on your rant about funding public transit. Are you upset with the Ontario government, the Canadian Government or is it BC that's causing you fits? Anyway you want it, I support your right to complain after all you are Canadian. And next to hockey complaining is our most popular sport.
Fiscal imbalance. Thanks for the rant, the charts, etc. It makes me laugh when folks from Ontario complain about the fiscal imbalance. It's you that have been sending the Liberals to Ottawa for years. It's the liberals that screwed the provinces over to deal with the federal deficit. And even when everyone was aware that all provinces were soundly boned by Ottawa, good old Ontario sent 100 or so liberals back to Ottawa the next time around. That sure showed 'em. I also remember when Alberta started talking about how they were not getting their fair share back from the federal governement (mid 1990's I think) and how the media of central Canada called Alberta all sorts of ugly names, whiners, un-Canadian, and worse. I notice that none of those names are being directed at Ontario.
