People, we are not dicussing a boring free trade issue, our people ARE HURTING NOW. It calls for action immediately, and not handled in a casual timeframe. We need emergency measures, and the federal government needs to step in.

I'd use the standard methods used when our citizens are threatened by an enemy.

Expropriation and Cancellation

1/All "freebee contracts" that involve Ontario electric energy sales to foreign countries go on hold until we solve our problems. f&^*% Trump. The power is immediately shifted to the Ontario grid.

2/Ontario energy saleries drop to competative rates. You Ontario energy workers have to admit to having a pretty good run so far, right?. The Party is over. Time to show loyalty has a Canadian citizen. We have the largest volume of lakes and standing fresh water in the world, right? Then prove it and use it. If Trump wants to muscle flex, we divert our water sources from heading south.

3/Only now we now discuss the problem. If you think that's mean, we recall the US dumped us immediately when it came to agricultural concerns.

4/ Hydro and G7 pushed for alternate energy and Ontario responded enthusiastically. Trouble is the government wasn't ready for that response and now doesn't know how to handle the laod it's getting.

You will note we act first THEN discuss. Same has in expropriation in times of emergency and this is one. Remember when farm vehicles and natural resources in time of "war" gets diverted to the war cause.

My personal opinion? Hydro is a federal issue, not provincial. This way we can invoke more rules that deal with the real constitutional issues involving citzen's rights in British common laws, so we can force changes on a national level.

Will it cause a great fiasco, you bet. In the first year many will be in an uproar until it settles and we go back to using energy that is OURS FIRST. Remember when Brazil declared bankruptcy? The time frame was very short and every nation had an interest in getting it back on it's feet. We hardly noticed when Brazil didn't bat an eye. It was right back on it's feet pronto due to a few free-bees from national banks. How much more are we deserving has citizens if we can be "johnny on the spot" when foreign nations receive quick aid from generous Canadians?

Time for us to declare a loss cause and start over. We can't apply a cure to the problem until we admit there's an illness.

The new "revenue neutral, cap-and-trade" carbon tax will make up the revenue shortfall from lowering the Hydro rates. It's all a big shell game. The consumer loses. Period.

What more do you need to know after this...

An Ontario manufacturing plant’s managers are concerned about their facility’s future after receiving a hydro bill that includes a green energy levy of over $100,000.

While the company paid $13,060 for energy actually used during the month of November, its “global adjustment fee” for that usage was a whopping $107,698.

A “global adjustment fee” is the term the Ontario government and energy companies use to describe the amount they tack on to businesses’ bills to cover the extremely generous and above-market rates the government has agreed to pay green energy companies in the province.

No one explained to the environmentalist that solar panels fluctuations is bad for a electricity grid. No one is intelligent enough to understand we need idling gas generators to keep the electric grid stable each time a cloud rolls by. Ontario is today more dependent on fossil fuels then it has ever been since implementing solar panels as a environmentally friendly measure.

It's simple. Dumb people that are in charge,
Blinded by optimism, who refused to see the reality.

Today, we have the most costly electricity in America, and we use the most fossil fuel of all electric grid's in America. That's called. Critical failure.

Environmentalist need to be told to STFU. Harper was right.

Guess these goons make lotsa moola to pay their own bills 'cuz apparently these high prices don't affect them....or they've made side deals and someone else is paying. I don't understand why they don't see this as a problem. They use utilities too. I really don't get it.

The MPPs all get housing expenses so the taxpayers cover it for them.

I would recommend Tesla's Powerful 2 (3k). A bit expensive, but that's what we said about Heat Pumps a few years back. I think gov. will not like the idea of this one. Their sold out, but more will be available soon.

Most cetainly the govt will make them illegal in short order. Legislation is being enacted all over forcing us to be hooked into the grid for everything. Libtards everywhere have been whispering about cashless society so that get their cut from every possible transaction. Every day is another step towards the "Big Brother" society.
