The real question is why are people getting up in arms when in the last 20 years alone USA has killed more civilians then any other nation combined under false pretenses? why isn't anyone boycotting them? Oh and they killed plenty more in 90s too.. how about the train full of civilians they killed. Opps just a mistake eeh?

The simple fact is this. Ukraine was not friendly to Russia as they promised. They were allowing militias to go into areas kidnap people who were prorussian and kill them. Further in a military perspective.. Ukraine is the key to the open plaines of russian. Its the reason Nazi germany was able to move so far into Russia during operation barbarossa . If Ukraine wont stay neutral then Russia has no choice but to control it.. Same reason USA controls Alaska and Hawaii without these location USA would be in a bad position.
