I just was diagnosed as having red-green colour defieciency. To work as a leasehand or any oilpatch jobs for that matter, do they require any vision standards?
Most of the drilling contractors may ask you to take a medical prior to starting work.
I would not think colour blindness would be a problem at all.
They are much more interested in finding reliable hard working people.
Phone up some drilling contractors in Edmonton, ask for HR and put the question to them.
