RE: Oil prices continue t

Oil prices aren't being fixed, the market is driven by supply an demand, and now the supply is falling short so we have to pay more, which will naturally reduce the demand for oil. If we subsidized oil, our economy would grow and increase the value of the dollar. This would increase the cost of our manufactured goods, destroying the industry and all the jobs it supports. It would also increase the cost to extract the oil itself, collapsing the industry and in turn driving up the price of oil even more. If we don't, the oil prices will also increase our cost of living, in turn increasing the cost of our manufactured goods and crashing our economy. No matter what we do, our economy is going to bust in a few short years, so buy everything that you want right now well things are good. I just went out and bought new quad. I'm starting a company that won't be effected buy these increases and investing the profits in gold, which will allow me to aquire mass amounts of real estate later. I suggest you all slowly sell of your investments and buy up gold over the next two years and prepare for the bad times that are gaurenteed to come.

I don't know what's a worse idea: capping gasoline prices or nationalizing the oil industry. Personally, I hope gas prices keep going up and up and up. I can laugh at those morons commuting in their 3 tonne SUV's.

Why would you want gas to keep going up? You're going to suffer too.
