The problem is that they're not moving down. Others are simply moving up. God forbid the former 'second class vote' should carry sway. Minorities and women!? *gasp* Having their votes counted and actually making their voices heard? For shame! Why the next thing you know, gays will even have rights. Oh ****, they voted too.

Your hypothesis only works if the American economy produces the excess wealth needed to buy social peace from nonproductive poor people who lack skills and education. America's economy is no longer able to produce the necessary excess wealth.

That means the different American tribes compete against each other in a zero sum game. Lots of conservatives aren't bigots but refuse to join you in postmodern leftism. I would rather see amercia die and be broken up into a series of competing successor states than see your vision for amerika implemented.

Yes just sorta like that. A couple of days, maybe a week when something is really big news and timely I can understand a lot of interest. But for the most part spamming the board is spamming the board is spamming the board, in my opinion. I don't care what the topic is, when there is an over abundance of them it does get annoying.

For the most part, I tend to stay away from a lot of political threads myself. Not because I don't have an interest in politics or don't wish to discuss them, I do and would like to. However, it becomes very, very, very tedious to wade through the posts like "You're a moron" "No, I'm not, you are". And that's the Canadian political threads. (Also, these are adults were talking about too. Just saying.)The threads, many of them but not absolutely all of them, regarding the US election and it's aftermath (between the sour grapes and the excessive gloating) is like the typical Canadian political thread on steroids.

So yeah, I'm kind of fed up with the lot of it.
