This year has seen debut of the OAFL's newest team, the Ottawa Swans. Though they lost their first game, they were very competitive.

I never knew there was an aussie league here. They need to advertize more!!

Would you believe it is almost 20 years old !

Couldn't agree with you more ...

Our league has been booming the past couple of years. This year for the first time we have many more Canadians in the league than Australians, which is great for the sport. Hopefully Team Canada will give a few countries a big shock in the Aussie Rules Football World Cup this August !

razor!

Welcome back -- it's been a long while.

So far this year I haven't watched AFL as I am so obsessed with NRL (Aussie rugby) and watch one match from that league every night. They are in their rep season and I look forward to their State of Origin.

Yes, Aussie Rules is a great sport. But I just cannot pass up rugby.

Last year you favored us with lots of fotos of ARF girls. Got any more this season?

thanks gopher.

you're right. I shouldn't forget the girls.
like the mens game, the womens game is growing.

there are a couple of clubs in and the girls really can play, they are courageous tough and fearless. But unlike the rugby girls (who have to be built like sasquatches), more importantly our footy girls are HOT !

There is a great social scene among both the male and female players because it is such as fun sport to play.

Calgary's Kookaburras

Team Canada (The Eagles)

The Ontario Ravens are looking for players, so if you know any girls (preferably hot ones) that want to keep fit and a bit more of a challenge than soccer and hockey, tell them to get down to training.

Thanx for the updates and action pics.

I caught the Brisbane Lions > N Melbourne 'Roos 129-92 match on mhz.tv this past Monday. Not quite as exciting as NRL (to me) but it was a good match.

you are lucky. we don't get quite as much Aussie sport where I am unfortunately.

There was a womens tourney inthe states recently gopher. Since you like that sort of thing, I thought I'd post some pics. I've always thought these girls were hot, but playing in the desert - now that's another thing altogether ! ;-)

Kookaburras fire at Duel in the Desert Written by Wayne Kraska Tuesday, 03 June 2008 The first women's footy games of the year were held on Saturday with the inaugural 'Duel in the Desert' tournament hosted by the Arizona Lady Hawks. With temperatures expected to rise into the triple digits it was an early start with games starting not long after 8.00am. At the event were the newly formed Denver Lady Bulldogs and the Atlanta Lady Kookaburras as well as the hosts of course the Lady Hawks, runners-up at last years Nationals in Louisville.
