North Korea vs. Brazil

Did anybody watch this game?

I was astonished that the N. Koreans managed to make it through the first half with 0:0. Even more impressive was that they managed to even score a goal and end the game with a 2:1 lose against the #1 ranked soccer/football team in the world.

This years World Cup has been weird to say the least, when England tied with the US.. and France tied with Uruguay? I'm definitely not a France fan, but they tied with Uruguay!

I watched & enjoyed it. It was quite astonishing to see several NK players weep with joy at their own national anthem but found that story that the fans were Chinese imports to be a bit far fetched. Brazil always has strong defense but NK managed to sneak past it for the one goal. A good, solid performance by both sides. Am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Today I enoyed the France v Mexico match as the latter won 2-0. I tuned into the Spanish network to hear them call Cuahtemoc Blanco's pk and the announcer went absolutely crazy with excitement!

North Korea did a great job and held their own very well against Brazil. Despite the lose the NKs managed to hold to a nile-nile for half the game, and put one past the Brazilian powerhouse.
