New U.K. PM confused with porn star online

If you're searching the web for more info about the incoming British prime minister and all you're getting are topless pics, you've misspelled her name. And you're not the first.
Many have confused Theresa May, Britain's home secretary who is set to take over for David Cameron as prime minister, for Teresa May -- no H -- a porn actress and nude model in the U.K.
For awhile, the hashtag #TeresaMay was trending on Twitter, as people mistakenly congratulated the porn actress on her namesake's appointment.
"I find it quite amusing how many people think I'm #TheresaMay the Prime Minister," the porn star tweeted Monday. "Just shows how ignorant some people are."
She's since changed her Twitter bio: "I am a UK Glamour model, not the Prime Minister."
But Teresa does appear to be enjoying the sudden surge of social media attention, using it to pitch her book and sell signed topless pics and used underwear as her number of followers skyrocket.
And others now in on the joke are having fun with it, too.
"Just for a second, I thought I'd uncovered a massive political scandal," tweeted one man.
"I'm sure we can all get behind our new leader..." joked another on Twitter.
