already have dual core.

I've been enlightened. ;)
I run at 5.2 without over clocking, I hear ya about the speed. Actually a friend came over for a visit and while here asked to copy a cd for him to use in his car so that the original doesn't get ripped off. First burn on this system and it went so fast we thought something was wrong and spent twice the amount of time it took to burn the cd looking for the problem. heh heh

It's staggering how far we have come in 15 years with these things.

That's pretty cool, I might have to check it out when it arrives in my neighborhood.

OK, since you know lots about PC's, tell me why my deleted mail totally disappears, and I don't know
where to find it.
I have NORTON, and it blasts almost everything through quarantine, and then it's gone, simple EMails
come in OK, and PM from forums come in OK, and my hockey poole, and that's about it.

When I delete mail, it disappears, and many things are quarantined and automatically disappear.
There is never anything in my delete box.
I have contacted Norton a few times, a person comes on tech help support, and trys to help me but they soon disappear, as they don't seem to be able to help me, maybe they're quarantined too,

I assume you are using Microsoft Outlook or Outlook express?

Do you have your mail client set to delete items from the "deleted items" folder after 24 hours or something?

When you receive mail, is Norton is automatically sending it to the trash?

Normally, your Outlook Express mail would be stored in 4 different folders.... inbox.dbx , outbox.dbx , sentitems.dbx , deleteditems.dbx . If you happen to have multiples of those folders, Norton might be getting confused and storing the mail to the wrong file.

Yeah, it's Outlook Express
Don't know what mail client is, but the answer is no, as far as I know.
Yeah, Norton automatically sends many things to 'wherever', and even when I delete anything from my inbox page, it
just disappears, never goes to delete box.
Yeah, I have all those titles, and also drafts.
I have to figure out how to actually get a 'live' person at Norton, so I will work on that.

Taloola, In Outlook Express go to the 'tools' menu, 'options' then 'maintenance'. Make sure the first two boxes are unchecked, especially 'delete messages from deleted folder on exit'. See if that is your problem.

First two boxes were unchecked, so that seems to be OK.

It says that there are 1700 and something deleted items, but it is actually empty, and always is.
But, inside the folder it says 'some items might be missing because of 'view'. I don't know what that
is.
That is the only thing written inside the delete folder.
