With hours away from the results of the election, we may very well see the National Citizens Coaliton have influence and power on the future of our federal government once Harper is victorious.

The NCC are a well-known but secretive organization thats been funding politicians and brought the likes of Mike Harris to power in Ontario and have campaigned in the past against the Canada Health Act.

Harper, a former President of the NCC who was obviously well funded for this campaign by his former colleagues, cannot just simply change his ways and turn against a group that got him to power to begin with, a group that he once led.

His moderate stance is a sham, Canadians may not believe it is a sham at all, Canadians may say that its all Liberal propaganda and Harper isn't that bad at all, Canadians may be angry at the Liberals and blame them for spending money in Quebec to spread Canadian Nationalism, Canadians should know they are influenced heavily by mainstream media Corporations who have been supporting Harper throughout the campaign and Canadians will decide by the end of the night who stays in power.

Sadly though Canadians will eventually realize that with Harper in power, the Liberals you hate may get the last laugh.

Now, I would think a Harper government is unavoidable, because the Liberals really have no shot. And I don't think everyone would want to vote NDP because they are scared of the socialists.

So it is what kind of Conservative government you want. A big majority kind, or a small one that can lose easy if it trips over the tight-rope.

Thats an interesting point that I cannot square with what is happening in the great free area we call South America. THEY are not afraid of electing socialist governments - Chavez in Venezuela and just last week Evo Morales in Bolivia was elected, with solid majorities [links below]

So WHY is there this difference? How come Canadians and Americans are electing conservatives and the South is going the opposite way?

Could it be that in Canada, and the USA, our media is being effectively controlled, compared to South American nations that have a "free" media, able to speak their minds and challenge the Old Boys' business cadres?

Here, not one word supporting nationalised energy has reached our airwaves in 20 years - no wonder the positive things that could come from socialism are not known to voters here. This, here, Canada, is far from being an open society where all the avenues of all the issues are covered in public media.

Instead, our news hours are filled with puppy-dog stories and fear mongering to keep our minds on security and off global warming.
