Seems reasonable. I don't know of many countries who keep memorials to their traitors and enemies around.

Always felt the same way about memorials to Tecumseh, Tashunka Witko, Tatanka Iyotanka, Goyaplay, and the like.

At least one Canadian province celebrates Louis Riel on his own statutory holiday and he was technically a traitor in Canadian law at the time.

Hasegawa Teru was technically a traitor to the Imperial Japanese Army yet some people today admire her. Hans and sopie Scholl were technically traitors to the Nazi regime too, yet people today admire them. Some Canadians admire Tekumseh too.
