Mysterious masked men have been seen abseiling from a helicopter nearby a Tesco supermarket in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester.
Astounded and mystified people looked on as the men clambered down ropes from a dark blue helicopter.
However, it's believed that the mysterious masked men were members of the SAS in training abseiling from Army Air Corps (AAC) Blue Thunder helicopters. The SAS uses 658 Squadron AAC's Blue Thunder choppers for training.
Why the SAS chose a Manchester suburb next to a supermarket to take part in training is anybody's guess. Maybe to be trained in urban warfare, I suppose. One thing I do know about the SAS is that you don't fuck with them.
