I enjoy playing any "genre" of game out there as well. However, I have never played any MMO and I really don't have any desire to. The games look very cool, but that is just not my thing.

Directx 10 is only for Vista, right? In that case, I won't be finding out what it's like for a long time.

Durka, do you agree that Microsoft is shooting themselves in the foot with regards to potention sales when they release the PC version of Halo 3 only to be for Vista? I think they are seriously deluding themselves if they think that someone will purchase Vista just to play Halo 3.

The whole "Games for windows" marketing scheme is a scam in my opinion. There is not technical reason for halo 2 not being able to run on XP. Games for windows is basically a scheme which ties new game releases to Vista in order to boost the sales of the OS. So far, they have failed miserably.

Halo 2 wasn't able to run on XP either? Man, I guess I won't be playing that one either.

There are cracks available which allow it to run on XP. Halo 3 will be a 360 title only, for the next 3 years or so.

Which is funny, being as the 360 is such a piece of sh!t. I can't even tell you how many stories I've heard about the 360 showing the "Red X of death"(which denoted a catastrophic harddrive failure). Heck, it even happened to one of the Editors of PC Gamer magazine! You would think they would work on making a more stable gaming platform rather than pissing on the PC players time and time again.:angryfire:

I have personally encountered the red ring of death multiple times... 2 360's blew up. Microsoft wanted me to pay $160.00 to have the last one fixed... told the CSR to blow Bill Gates. No more of that junk for me.
