Tornadoes were reported Tuesday afternoon and evening in north and central Kansas, including near Corning in Nemaha County and Culver in Ottawa County.

At least one home was destroyed west of Corning and several outbuildings were damaged, but there were no reports of injuries when a twister struck at 4:16 p.m.

A large tornado was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the areas of Culver and Bennington, about 15 miles north of Salina. The National Weather Service said the wedge tornado was nearly stationary.

Other tornadoes were reported in Barton and Rush counties in central Kansas.

At least four tornadoes struck northeast Kansas on Monday night, causing the most damage in the town of Marysville, where a twister touched down about 9:50 p.m., destroying two businesses and flattening some homes.

(for the last couple of hours, OK keeps getting hit by Tornadoes.. at least 20 to 30 tornadoes so far)

Massive storm systems keeps forming tornadoes.. over and over and over...



DEVELOPING: A massive tornado touched down Friday, west of Oklahoma City, causing damage and trapping motorists, before heading toward Oklahoma City.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado emergency for the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Weather service forecaster Daryl Williams said the emergency included Oklahoma City and some suburbs.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said motorists were injured in the Oklahoma City area and others were missing.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado emergency for the city's downtown, airport and several suburbs. The weather service issues an emergency if a storm with tornadoes is heading toward large metropolitan area. The warning covered Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, which was evacuated at 6:30 p.m. while staff and passengers were taken to an underground tunnel until the threat passed, and there were no flights inbound or outbound.

Damage was reported Friday south of Interstate 40 near El Reno after the twister swept through a rural area. The Canadian County Sheriff's Office said it did not have any reports of injuries.

Funnels of various sizes touched the ground south of El Reno, 25 miles west of Oklahoma City. At other times funnel clouds remained aloft. Cameras showed debris in the air.

State police conducted rolling roadblocks to prevent motorists from driving into the storm as it approached Oklahoma City, which has a million people in the metro area.

A storm last week killed 24 at Moore, on Oklahoma City's south side.

WOW!! Just wow, this storm is making history.. even the police has stated this is a first..

The system is so huge is reaching as far east as Joplin, Missouri now.. It's not moving or at least so slow it just keeps firing up tornado after tornado..

Seems people were unprepared so I40 and I35 are parking lots with tractor trailers rolled over and 1000's of vehicle accidents.
