I’m heading to the UK for the next 6mo-1yr and I’m wondering if I can take and use my phone there. I pulled out the battery and I didn’t see any obvious places to put a SIM card. The phone has a slot for a memory card in the top but I think it’s for a Transflash, is that compatible with a SIM card? Are there any other ways I can use my phone in the UK?

RE: Motorola E815 from Be

is it tri-band or dual rudd?.....Bell dont really have a presence in the uk so u'll probably automatically have one of the networks assigned to ur phone when in the UK....Transflash?..em, most of the flash cards used on phones here are SD or MMC, but you "should" be ok, it certainly works the other way with my old Sony Ericcson on O2, it changed to Bell over in toronto, but generally you cant go wrong if it's tri-band.....check that memory slot though

I'm not sure but the "technology menu" it says dual 800/1900 CDMA 1x. I'm guessing its not a tri-band then.

The manual talks about Transflash cards so I'm pretty sure it takes them.
