Why would comedians like Stewart or Letterman apologize to their audiences? They're comedians, not dogmatically bound political hacks. The only time they would need to apologize is if people didn't find them funny, and then the audiences would still have the last laugh as their show(s) would likely lose sponsours/be cancelled.

YouTube - Glenn Beck - Exclusive Interview With Erick Massa

I don't watch Fox news, but who was that interviewer? He has no tact, is quite rude, really the kind of guy who knows how to try to make someone feel uncomfortable in an interview. I've never seen an interviewer to be so preachy and full of himself on-screen.Is that clip above typical of Fox News?

Doesn't Fox a least make some kind of attempt at being, or at least appearing, non-biased?

I guess wearing their ideology on their sleeve is precisely how they attract their fan base?

Umm, actually no it doesn't. The only attempt FOX makes at appearing unbiased is its motto "Fair and balanced news." That, unfortunately is as far as it goes.

Did they intend to humour us with that motto? I've never seen such blatant and unabashed bias coming from that I believed was supposed to be a news source. Sure I'd read of Fox's bias before, but never realized how blatant it was.

Are any news service these days fair and unbiased. Everyone just reads what they agree with and call it fact.

There's a difference between at least making an effort to be unbiased and truthful on the one hand, and proudly wearing your ideology on your sleeve and making little to no effort to give the other side an equal chance. Look at Peter Mansbridge. I don't watch his programmes often, but on the occasions that I have, I have seen him talking to members of both the right and the left, and though his questions can be tough, he always shows a certain tact and courtesy, etc.

This Glenn Beck was a real in-your-face kind of guy.

Beck is a real in-your face guy, no question about it. I don't like hearing any commenter badgering of belittling anyone while they are interviewing them, let them say what ever they want and let the audience decide. It is like those presidential speeches, after the speeches are over the news networks spend another half hour telling us what the candidates said, or what they wanted us to hear.
