142nd FA Cup Final

Manchester City 2-1 Manchester United

All-conquering Manchester City, probably the best club team in the world right now, have won the FA Cup for the seventh time after beating local rivals Manchester United this afternoon at Wembley in what was the first ever Manchester derby in any final of any competition.

Gundogan scored both City's goals and he put City ahead after just 12 seconds, the fastest ever FA Cup Final goal.

It is Manchester City's seventh FA Cup, after also winning it in 1904, 1934, 1956, 1969, 2011 and 2019.

The FA Cup was awarded to City by FA President the Prince of Wales.

The win secures the Double for City, after they last week won the Premier League for the seventh time since 2012.

City are now looking to become the first English team to secure the Treble since Manchester United in 1999, because next Saturday they play Inter Milan in the Champions League Final and they are the odds-on favourites.
