fubbleskag, "An image worth a thousand words", as they say :)

If you want to hear the new song On that dayit is on this pub site. The whole song is given to hear and it is legal.

Thank you Jillyvn for the warm welcome, :D I'm also unable to pick just one song. I adore these 3 songs . I can add Tower of Song. (among others).

I remimber the feeling I had reading the end of The Favourite Game. So light and... what a great poet he is. :D

P.S. : I am also very fond of Tom Wait's Waltzing Mathilda but so far it is the only Wait's song that I like (altough I don't think I knew them all). [/b]

Just unlike me, then, Peabod, I like many but I am truly fan of just one. :)

This Evening Michel Garneau is reading Leonard Cohen's poetry somewhere (I'm sorry I do not know where exactly - but I guess this is something one can found) in Montréal. Not that I want to attend, because unfortunately I can not but maybe some other fans could be interested.

NOTICE AFTER MESSAGE
Oupsss It was 11 in the morning
Which means the performance is running right now.

And it is there (not in Mtl) : Librairie Clément Morin–Café Morgane, 4000, boul. des Forges, (819) 379-4153. Entrevue : Gérald Gaudet. Poète : Michel Garneau (Québec).

Now Peabod, even the transportation engine of the Enterprise and the famous "Beam me up Scotty" :D would not be of some help. Job for a time machine. :?

Peabod  hurry!!!! But I suggest helicopter because of the landing problem. You could let the engine on the building. More comfortable. It is always what I do myself

In all the fuss on the American Election i completely missed the news that Leonard Cohen had died on November 7 at age 82.. and i couldn't find a memorial thread so i posted it here.

His music and his poetry resonated with the times, often very personal and reflective.. hope he's being fed tea and oranges in the great beyond. Rip, Leonard.

I was hoping he would last a bit longer but it was clear to tell by recent interviews and the lyrics of the new album that the end was near. This is a tough one. He is easily my favourite songwriter. His music and his novels helped me through quite a few hard times. I got to see him back in 2012. It is definitely one of the most memorable shows Ive been to. Glad I got the chance.
