I disagree. As bad as were in the 60's, or my kids later in the 70's or the 80's, we never had the sort of moral influences we have now...or the high levels of promiscuity and violence.Hun, in my day, when you broke the law and were caught, you actually could possibly get punished, not slapped on the wrist.

Youth Violence, Down..WAAAAAY Down, Riots..(for every one supporting a good cause like equality there was one preaching a bad cause, like the rise of the Klan).

Promiscouity is lower now than in the 60's, and unsafe sex is WAAAAY down.

Punishment now is far worse than it was, (remember how dragging a minority behind a car got you a suspended sentance?) and every minor was charged as a minor. Now Minors are charged as adults.

Look at any stat you want, Kids today are better behaved than the older generation and punished worse for doing less. The only major difference I see is media coverage, now things are shown on the news that before only showed up in police reports.

If it wasn't for the media we would be ingnornt hillbillies, I know I'm gratefull when they set me straight on the lastest crimes and punishments of our youth today. Really are things worse now or do we just know too many details about everything? ...
