Oh, OK. I thought you were serious about the inaction in the Congo.

My bad. Back to your jok... err... threads.

I'm not convinced a military strategy will help when it seems like every one that's sent over has failed.

Because we don't fight wars like we should anymore.

There's to many pussies at home whining about what their cult leader tells them to whine about.

Or commit for after them. People didnt just pull out of Germany or Japan after winning in '45. If they had the previous regimes with different names would have just rebuilt themselves. It took many years to fully eliminate the threat there after the war. I dont think anyone is really willing to spend that kind of time and money on these places right now.

These people need some resolution for themselves anyway.

It's not something they will accept from us.

Nonsense.

Even Colombia is sorting its **** out.

FARC Negotiators Lay Resolution Strategy on the Table
Yep, I'm up to speed on that. I'm just surprised you would compare FARC to ISIS.

I can explain if you really aren't capable of figuring it out for yourself. Unless you were just going for some simplistic "Look, conflict resolution with fighting" thing.

In which case, I'll just laugh at you now. lolz.

These people need some resolution for themselves anyway.
I actually agree. They need to find their own way, make their own form of government that suits them.

It's not something they will accept from us.
Nor should they have to.

Holy Akbar just give the talking points a rest already.

Do you think that people should just accept going to war just because we 'believe' it's the right thing to do?

It isn't so much a talking point as it is a matter of fact.

You aren't about to change your mind, and nothing I say or provide will change that.

Do you think that people should just accept going to war just because we 'believe' it's the right thing to do?
That's why we did it in 39.

Please don't compare this situation to WW2 as your justification for going to war lol

I used WWII simply because of the way you phrased your question.

And it was a reasonable response.

Countries go to war for all manner of underlying reasons. Economic, humanitarian, with the push being, they 'believe' it's the right thing to do.

Going to war in 39 was the right thing to do. Like now, there were people like your leader, who didn't agree. In retrospect, I bet some of them feel silly, while others don't.

In this case, given the evidence, I say commit our full military resources. Or half, and send the rest into the Congo. And put a stop to the senseless violence and murderous rampage. Because I believe it is the right thing to do.
