Texas must be so proud.

Black women eh? Seems to be a disappropriate amount of Black people executed in Texas. I bet if she was white, she would not of been subject to this barbaric procedure.

You should read your Bible, Nascar Nero. It says, very clearly, "Thou shalt not kill." It also says, "'Vengeance is mine,' sayeth the Lord."

You're going to hell for cheering state sanctioned murder on, dude. Bitch of a way to spend eternity, I hear.

The bible does however allow capital punishment.

The first mention of capital punishment as a penalty for murder is in Genesis 9:6:

"Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Also, the first mention of the appropriate punishment for a murder is in Genesis 4:11-15.

"And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;...a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him."

RE: Justice is Served in

The prohibitions against killing and against taking vengeance come later, thus superceding the earlier orders. You invisible man in the sky changed his mind, Nero. He told you not to kill people.

You're going to burn for all eternity, dude. Melting flesh, eyes popping out, getting stabbed in ass with a pitchfork, the whole deal.

He's had a bad year. He'll come back, mark my words. Jeff Gordon is not a four time champion simply by luck.

Been where?

Race and Prosecutorial Discretion

Scroll down a bit. About half way. But its best to read it all. But this site lists much more than that as well. Very interesting.

a teaser:

Racial profiling and other enforcement strategies begin the insidious process by which minorities are disproportionately caught up in the criminal justice system. But such disparities do not end at the point a suspect is arrested. At every subsequent stage of the criminal process -- from the first plea negotiations with a prosecutor, to the imposition of a prison sentence by a judge -- the subtle biases and stereotypes that cause police officers to rely on racial profiling are compounded by the racially skewed decisions of other key actors. This chapter examines the role of the prosecutor in perpetuating racial inequality in our criminal justice system.

The importance of race as a factor in the imposition of capital punishment is well documented.

The Baldus study concluded that blacks who killed whites were sentenced to death 22 times more frequently than blacks who killed blacks, and seven times more frequently than whites who killed blacks.

Actually this is a good link, but it deals mostly with Georgia. Please remember that state's laws differ quite a lot, and California is know for being the kooky state. Louisiana has the most bizarre legal system of any state.

Remember about stats? What applies to one state may not apply to another because - in this case - one state may have almost no black citizens. How could the Baldus study apply in such a situation? This is a very limited area study that does not apply to all states.

Surely you do not contend that this women should be exempted from the death penalty because she is indeed a women? What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Prove to me that - proportionately - blacks do not commit as many crimes as whites.
