Judge decides to sentence convicted rapist to do 250 hours of community service

Goes to show you don't know one single thing about me. Don't you like that a threat to castrate somebody is actually an assault charge that would see you convicted without a doubt?
How about 4 or 5 years community service or would you prefer tro meet him after he has been in jail for 10 years?

Exactly what good do you think that would do? It appears this young man made a mistake and is remorseful and willing to learn from the experience meaning the likelihood of re-offending is remote. I would rather he get counselling and education, try to make amends for his misdeed, and become a productive member of society. I do not promote this for all rapists in any way but there are circumstances where some type of second chance at life for one so young is warranted and this appears to be one of those times. Send him to jail for 5 or 10 years to live with 'Bubba' and be beaten and raped will almost ensure he perpetuates the cycle of violence upon his release.
If he were to do something like this a second time then by all means throw away the key or a good hanging but for now it is worth the chance to rehabilitate him.

I didn't need to threaten my boys with castration. They were taught right from wrong and that no means no. They were also raised in an environment where women were respected by real men, not misogynistic little idiots like you who feign respect for women while holding sexist and antiquated views.
I am sure the judge had much more information on the case than we do including psych reports, a full accounting of the events and a full history of both parties and took all the pertinent factors into account before passing sentence. I will defer to her choice as being the correct one.

And btw, concerning the mysoginist comments. I'm not the one coming up with excuses as to why he should get off easier for rape, or making comments about murdered women that they were just prostitutes and crack who res, that would be you.

I didn't say he should get off at all. He was charged and convicted of rape by his own admission as is fitting in this situation. What I said was he should be sentenced considering all factors not the least of which is the likelihood for recurrence and the possibility for rehabilitation. In that respect I think the judge was not to far from the mark.
I feel like some people here might have a problem with women.
It seems like there are an inordinate number of threads complaining about female sex offenders, and now that we have a thread about a male sex offender, it is all focused on the female judge.
When female sex offenders get off with weak sentences, why are those threads not filled with pictures of the judge who sentenced them calling them names?

because a lot of men don't consider a female teacher having sex with a male student as a bad thing. It's called a double standard.
45 days in jail is getting off.
The question is, in those cases, why do you guys always focus on the female offender instead of the judge that sentenced them?
In this case, why the sudden interest in the judge?
Being labeled a sex offender is hardly a slap on the wrist. Why don't you try it sometime and see how it affects your business and future and personal life. I could not begin to list the restrictions he will face. And these are not temporary or even for a few years, they are permanent. I don't even think he could ever be eligible for a pardon.
