rev - i hate to tell you this.....but i don't own any snow boots. we use them as planters out here on the coast. ha! nah, i usually wear my 'all-purpose-any-shit' gumboots, but my god, you can really slip around in those too! i just need a new tred on the bottom side of the berkies, then i will be good for another 10,000 miles. they now re-tread with tires!

we went out looking for a storm to watch today storm watching is big on the island

I remember when I was very young and small my mom taking us out to Clover point to watch the wind (yeah, that makes no sense) and I remember wearing a Kangaroo jacket and being terrified I'd be swept up by the wind and carried away.

Aren't moms' wonderful? Take your very small child to a wind storm and see how much they relax and enjoy it.

Try some of the storm watching in Tofino, people actually do get washed out to sea...awesome stuff...but you need common sense....try being out in one of those storms 8O

I KNEW IT!!!!!! My mom would always say "Don't be silly, the wind can't pick you up" But I knew different, even if I wasn't fully aware of it. Thanks Pea, for that. I know have the proof I needed. Course it's like 30yrs too late.....

But I can assure you all with the utmost honesty I DO NOT write poetry to my cats. Really.
