What makes this kind of interesting is that it's coming from the Star - who was very pro lockdown and visitation bans etc. Honestly i think the gov'ts were caught between a rock and a hard place with regards to old age care facilities, but what they're expressing here is true and is also true of the larger population who wound up missing critical family interactions and going to funerals and such during the lockdowns. We do have to have a discussion about that as a nation and recognize the harm that does and weigh that against future restrictions.

Common sense was rarely applied to any situation. It was always brute force by the book. My wife was diagnosed with brain cancer in May 2020 and she did all her treatments alone as I was not allowed to visit. I will never forgive St. Michaels Hospital for it's refusal to bend the policy at all.
