U.S. President Donald Trump, whose ratings have been hit by the war's impact on energy prices for U.S. consumers, said on Friday he would not attend his son's wedding this weekend, citing Iran among reasons he planned to stay in Washington. Rubio repeated Trump's demands: "Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. The straits need to be open without tolls. They need to turn over their enriched uranium."

Iran's top negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said Iran would pursue its "legitimate rights", both on the battlefield and through diplomacy, but added that it could not trust "a party that has no honesty at all", an allegation Iran has made several times before.

Despite weeks (12 of them so far) of conflict, Iran has preserved its stockpile of near-weapons-grade enriched uranium as well as missile, drone and proxy capabilities that the United States say they aim to curb.

While the U.S. claims the two sides are moving closer toward a resolution, Iran denies any negotiations are occurring and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he told NATO allies they need a backup plan if peace talks fail. Jackson Proskow has more on the conflict and the role NATO might play if peace talks fail.

Iran, the U.S. and mediator Pakistan all said on Saturday that progress had been made in talks on ending almost three months of war, whatever that means.

Sources have told Reuters the proposed framework would unfold in three stages:
1) formally ending the war,
2) resolving the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and
3) launching a 30-day window for negotiations on a broader agreement, which can be extended.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he would discuss the latest Iran draft agreement with advisers and might make a decision on Sunday on whether to resume attacks on Iran, whatever that means, Axios reported, citing an interview with Trump.

It is the Memorial Day Weekend though…which is a U.S. federal holiday that honors and mourns all military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is a solemn day of remembrance distinct from Veterans Day, which honors all living and deceased veterans.

(Public records and biographical research indicate that no direct members of Donald Trump's immediate family—including Donald Trump himself, his parents, his siblings, or his children—have served in the U.S. military)
"Either we reach a good deal or I'll blow them to a thousand hells," Axios quoted Trump as saying.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio repeated Trump's demands: "Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. The straits need to be open without tolls. They need to turn over their enriched uranium."

Iran denies it is pursuing nuclear weapons and says it has a right to enrich uranium for civilian purposes. It has demanded supervision of the strait, an end to the U.S. blockade on its ports and the lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil sales.

Details of peace framework to be announced soon, Trump says.

Reports say memorandum would end US blockade, reopen strait. Nuclear issue would be addressed later. Iran stresses that differences remain to be resolved.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on a visit to India, said more news could come on Sunday. A senior Iranian source told Reuters that if Iran's Supreme National Security Council approved the memorandum, it would be sent to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei for final approval.

But Iran's Tasnim news agency said differences remained over one or two clauses. Washington and Tehran remain at odds over key issues, however, such as Iran's enriched uranium stockpile and tolls on the Strait of Hormuz. Tasnim cited a source as saying there would be no final understanding if the U.S. continued to create obstacles.

A deal cementing the current fragile ceasefire would bring relief to markets but not immediately quell a global energy crisis, which has driven up costs of fuel, fertilizer and food.

The deal being discussed between Iran and the U.S. appears to be one that would allow ships carrying oil (well, some of them anyway) to move through the Strait of Hormuz. The war has cut off traffic for that route, through which 20 percent of the world’s supply is delivered. That has led to high gas prices in the U.S., which has put greater pressure on Trump in an election year.

Though details on the proposal have been few, it does not appear the 60-day cease fire being discussed would put any limitations on Iran’s nuclear program.

Keep in mind Iran was illegally attacked for a lie put fourth by Netanyahu.

Iran who was illegally attacked (twice) while in negotiations, has the upper hand in the eyes of the law, the ballistic missile capabilities and capacitie and of course the Strait.

If you want peace in Middle East, Israel has to be reigned in be in PERIOD.

If Israel
1.bans and makes Euphrares to Nile(or any other range)growth plan Greater Israel Project illegal.
2. accepts its 1967 borders by International Law,
3. recognition of of ICC's Justice System
4.Must join IAEA(hypocritical for want they ask of Iran who was in the past a member)
5.100% withdrawal from Gaza and West Bank, occupied Lebanon and Syria.
6. Pay restitution for leveling Gaza, land theft, ecological damage,.damage to International heritage sites in West Bank Gaza Lebanon and Syria and pay for natural gas and other resource theft.
7. drop all plans to build the third temple
8. Ban the JKK terrorist Supremacists from the Knesset and the Synagogue basements.
9. Recognize Goyim (non-Jews) as fully human with full human Rights

When you look at it, its not an unreasonable demand for Israel to finally be an accountable member of global society and obey our rationallaws

The Middle East would calm right the fuck down instantly.

In the context above. President Trump said Sunday he was in no hurry to complete an end-of-war agreement with Iran after spending weeks insisting Tehran had to quickly make nuclear concessions or face renewed attacks.

On May 15, 1948, the day after Israel became a nation, the armies of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Transjordan (now Jordan) and two Palestinian irregular forces launched their first attempt to “drive the Jews into the sea.”

There was no occupation for the first 19 years of Israel’s existence and yet by then, Israel had fought and won two wars aimed at annihilating it, before it captured Gaza from Egypt and the West Bank from Jordan in 1967 in a war that lasted about six days. How does that fit into your….statement?

Israel’s 1948 War of Independence was followed by the Six-Day War of 1967 and the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Had Israel lost any of them, it would have ceased to exist.

What ended Israel’s wars with Egypt — its major enemy at the time of its founding — was the signing of a peace treaty in 1979 (What else happened in 1979?) under which Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt that it captured during the Six-Day War.

Israel also signed a peace treaty with Jordan — which also attacked Israel the day after it became a nation — in 1994. Hostilities between Israel and Iran began following the 1979 Islamist revolution which toppled the Shah.
6. Pay restitution for leveling Gaza, land theft, ecological damage,.damage to International heritage sites in West Bank Gaza Lebanon and Syria and pay for natural gas and other resource theft.
Iran being a state sponsor of terrorism, Iran’s leaders provide funding, weapons and training through the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and other groups, committed to the eradication of Israel. All are classified as terrorist groups by Canada among other nations.

Where would Iran’s responsibility lay financially for restitution with respect to Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, the West Bank, Yemen, and Israel with its decades of ‘sponsoring’ non-state actors?
7. drop all plans to build the third temple

Yeah, ok, anyway, the two (Iran & American) sides remain at odds on several difficult issues, such as Iran's nuclear ambitions, Israel's war in Lebanon with the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia and Tehran's demands for the lifting of sanctions and the release of tens of billions of dollars of Iranian oil revenues frozen in foreign banks.

Iran's central bank chief Abdolnaser Hemmati has travelled to Qatar following talks with a Qatari delegation in Tehran regarding Iran's frozen funds, Iranian media reported on Monday.

Iranian sources had told Reuters that in future stages, "feasible formulas" could be found to resolve the dispute over its highly enriched uranium stockpile, including diluting the material under the supervision of the U.N. nuclear watchdog.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the potential accord contained no specific details on management of the strait, through which about a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied gas flows.

Maybe Trump doesn’t want them doing medical research with 20% uranium. I have no idea, but the goal posts are definitely portable.
Pakistan rejects the idea; no response from Israel, other countries. Analyst says Trump 'trading one fantasy for another'…

"I am mandatorily requesting that all Countries immediately sign the Abraham Accords, and that, if Iran signs its Agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Why shouldn't they? The terrorists were committing mass murder. And that is a fact.
There was no occupation for the first 19 years of Israel’s existence and yet by then, Israel had fought and won two wars aimed at annihilating it, before it captured Gaza from Egypt and the West Bank from Jordan in 1967 in a war that lasted about six days. How does that fit into your….statement?
Annihilating? How when Israel attacked them twice not the other around? Get your facts straight.

Would this have been during the time frame of terrorist run Israel was stealing nuclear weapon tech from the US to build a bomb?
Israel’s 1948 War of Independence was followed by the Six-Day War of 1967 and the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Had Israel lost any of them, it would have ceased to exist.
Noooo. Israel attacked Egypt and by then terrorist Israel had built their stolen nuke.

In 73 Terrorist Golda threaten to use their stolen nukes even if it meant self inflicted losses.
What ended Israel’s wars with Egypt — its major enemy at the time of its founding — was the signing of a peace treaty in 1979 (What else happened in 1979?) under which Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt that it captured during the Six-Day War.
Why did they annex it in the first fucking place?
Israel also signed a peace treaty with Jordan — which also attacked Israel the day after it became a nation — in 1994. Hostilities between Israel and Iran began following the 1979 Islamist revolution which toppled the Shah.
Good for Jordan for having the balls to attack terrorists commiting mass murder and ethnic cleansing.

Good for Iran gaining independence from the British and America by ousting their puppet and the sadistic Savak.
From our side of the fence that's called being an ally. Allies shouldn't help stop terrorist Israel who has stolen nukes? Bibi created and backed Hamas. Hamas was legit and currently Hezbollah is just as legit as Azov.

What year did Canadz declare them terrorists. When and why? Pressure? 911?
Where would Iran’s responsibility lay financially for restitution with respect to Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, the West Bank, Yemen, and Israel with its decades of ‘sponsoring’ non-state actors?
Funding legit allies against terrorists with a stolen nuke who are on a land grab is bad?
Yeah, ok, anyway, the two (Iran & American) sides remain at odds on several difficult issues, such as Iran's nuclear ambitions, Israel's war in Lebanon with the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia and Tehran's demands for the lifting of sanctions and the release of tens of billions of dollars of Iranian oil revenues frozen in foreign banks.
Iran has no nuclear ambitions. Proven time and time again. Is Israel occupying Lebanon? Yes and that makes IDF and Israel a legitimate legal target from legit Hezbollah. If Botswana allied with legit Hezbollah would they be terrorist sponsors?
Iran's central bank chief Abdolnaser Hemmati has travelled to Qatar following talks with a Qatari delegation in Tehran regarding Iran's frozen funds, Iranian media reported on Monday.
Good, it's their money. It'll came in handy to rebuild after being illegally attacked based on another Netanyahu lie
Iranian sources had told Reuters that in future stages, "feasible formulas" could be found to resolve the dispute over its highly enriched uranium stockpile, including diluting the material under the supervision of the U.N. nuclear watchdog.
The same UN watch Iran worked with and clearly and unequivocally no bombs.
Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the potential accord contained no specific details on management of the strait, through which about a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied gas flows.
The Strait that is legally within Iranian waters that was fully open prior to Iran being illegally attacked by stolen nuke packing terrorist Israel?
