Sources have told Reuters the proposed framework would unfold in three stages:
1) formally ending the war,
2) resolving the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and
3) launching a 30-day window for negotiations on a broader agreement, which can be extended.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he would discuss the latest Iran draft agreement with advisers and might make a decision on Sunday on whether to resume attacks on Iran, whatever that means, Axios reported, citing an interview with Trump.
It is the Memorial Day Weekend though…which is a U.S. federal holiday that honors and mourns all military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is a solemn day of remembrance distinct from Veterans Day, which honors all living and deceased veterans.

Washington and Tehran remain at odds over key issues, however, such as Iran's enriched uranium stockpile and tolls on the Strait of Hormuz. Tasnim cited a source as saying there would be no final understanding if the U.S. continued to create obstacles.
A deal cementing the current fragile ceasefire would bring relief to markets but not immediately quell a global energy crisis, which has driven up costs of fuel, fertilizer and food.
