RESPONSE: It's a very scary truth. The arab nations were content to lend lip service in support of a Palastinian homeland while the Palastinians were beggered at the doors of their Occupiers. Perhaps in exchange, those Arab leaders were allowed to continue with their totalitarian ways. But now Iran, in keeping with the tenet of Quoran??, is lending a hand to a brother.

I wouldn't surmise that Iran is lending a hand because
of the Koran (Q'uran). It's doing that out of
some perceived national self-interest, perhaps even
more out of a desire to usurp leadership away
from al Qaeda or from any other group that pretends
to lead Islam, and that is no Koranic tenet, but rather
a geopolitical impulse.

interesting poisonpete,

if there is such apathy to assassination, I wonder if the west would even bother to crack a yawn if GWB was on the receiving end of such treatment?

what is good for the goose is good for the gander!

RESPONSE: an anticipated fallout of assassinating the fatman (Diem??) in Viet Nam was that Kennedy was going to get pillareed for it. When it didn't work they took direct action on Kennedy with that "majic" bullet. And where would Bush senior have been on that fateful day in Dallas. And what was the true nature of his employ? Bush went on a goose hunting trip shortly before Kennedy was murdered. It would be interesting to know who else was on that trip. Even the pilot should raise some interest. After all he was detained for questioning by police as he came out of the Deltex Building that day on Dealey Square. But don't get me started on such conspiracy theories for we all know that assassinations are done by lone madmen with sympathies toward radical movements. or are they?
