Historical trauma is one of the main factors that brought more than 300 Native American nations and thousands of people together at Standing Rock to fight and mobilize against the Dakota Access Pipeline, Dennis Banks, founder of the American Indian Movement, told Abby Martin in her latest episode of "The Empire Files."

I like Cliffys anti religion views though.

In Canada the indiginious kill each other more than the white man does.

Is it Right?, no. Do I know the solution?, no.
Have the cops murder 'em. That's what we do down hereabouts. Not sure it helps the problem much, but sure puts a grin on the cops' faces. That can't be bad, right?

It is the ones that go missing that suffer torture before they die. Where do you think the cops get their training from??

They should actually have a higher standard, IMO.

I certainly agree with one premise of the article - that Native deaths at the hands of law enforcement do appear to be under-reported by media in relation to the deaths of other Americans.
The only cop related deaths that aren't under-reported are those of Black people.
Remember when Alton Stirling was killed? Cops killed 6 other people in the US on that same day, who weren't Black, and yet the media's myopic focus was on the one Black person.

In Canada, when it comes to law enforcement and incarceration, we have a unique problem that no other civilized nation has. Throughout the civilized world men have a higher representation in the prison system than women regardless of race or ethnicity. But in Canada, a higher percentage of Native women are being held in detention than Native men.

There are reasons for that. If you're interested, I'll tell you what they are. But if you've already reached the conclusion that it's all a great big evil anti-white conspiracy, I won't bother.

Let me know.
