Immigration is a privilege, not a right

Ya, I factored that in. I was wondering what a fair price would be, in your opinion, for a unit for a family of four.

Ok, just wanna make sure you don't have any surprises. The company I work for charges around 4000 - 5000 installed, depending on venting issues, with a 5 year parts and labour. I'd question anything under 3k and stay the hell away from Bosch.

I take it you're talking about gas. There's no gas service to this place. It's an old cottage.

What's your opinion in AHI?

First of all, immigration is a privlilege, until that person becomes a citizen
then like anyone else, it becomes a right. Gerry is right, we need people
to come here especially those who have skill or people we can train to
have those skills in the future.
Most people come here and live in conclaves because they don't know
anyone else. They are unfamiliar with the customs and they have citizens
who are here by birth or came before them that don't want the here and
that is sad,.
I know many immigrants, and they eventually became people who contribute
to society and community. When they first came. they did live in a cultural
supportive setting but not now.
We have neighbours who came from Taiwan. their youngest who was little
when they came is a true Canadian, he doesn't like the attitude of people
from Asia. Ironic but true.
We can't look at immigration or immigrants as a static thing, its ever changing
and will continue to be so.

It opens up the market for digital service manuals and code readers that come with instructions in the form of a flow chart that anybody could follow. That could apply for things almost to new home design where the drafting software filling in all the framing specs based on actual building codes and spits out a list of materials and exactly where each piece goes. That would allow the home builder to be his own general contractor, get the plans and hire somebody like hire-a-student who have journeymen doing all the inspections.

A professional mechanic who has a mobile garage (tools and step-by-step instructions) would be more like it as they would make house-calls just in case it is house related. The homeowner would need to sharpen their own skills.

Giggling all the time might indicate something more than an appreciation for witty sayings/ect. Johnny Carson use to have a few on hand, not sure that made the jokes any funnier.

Anybody got a list from the last few years on what occupations were filled? and what they are hoping to fill in the near future? That list could help students choose which educational path to pursue.

I know nothing about them. Sounds good, but there is not enough technical information for me to make an educated opinion on them. It is new technology. All tankless heaters I have seen use coils running through a heat exchanger, so yes, there is the problem with lime and calcium buildup.
Thanks bud.

Looking at it more..... it seems to be more of a point of use application rather than a whole house. If you are going whole house, be sure the GPM flow rate will be enough for you. Nothing worse than getting in the shower and finding your shower head is too much for the heater and you have no pressure...or... expecting to be able to run your dishwasher at the same time your having a shower and finding that you don't have enough water to do both.

No it's not.

Ya, the company selling them does a lot of farm water sources and such. But assured me, the larger unit would be more than enough for a house, and they've installed them in several houses so far.

I actually met them through a friend of mine replumming his barn, lol. When they're done, I plan on checking out just how hot and how much hot water the system can push. Before I do anything.

No it's not.
LOL!

As long as it does 120 deg F consistently. That's all you need. Anymore and you can scald yourself.......... and ya ya ya..I know..... mine prefers it up around 125 - 130 too, but it really isn't good for you to be in that hot a water.

Actually it's me that likes it hot, SCB thinks I'm nutty. She says her skin itches if her shower is too hot. She can shower in straight cold water. I think she's not human!

well, considering she married you, I'd have to agree.
