Minority but well over one million. They take jobs, create crimes, use up social services, and fail to pay taxes like other illegals. In NYC, there are far more illegals from Russia than from Haiti. Police have been seen rounding up Haitians, kicking or clubbing them, dragging them through the streets in massive arrests. But you NEVER see the cops doing that to Russians or other Europeans in NYC.


As for Koch, he was mayor until 1988 or '89 when Reagan, who allowed in millions of illegals, was in the White House. He could have done to the Russians and Europeans what he and the cops did to Haitians. But he refused to do so and this was openly discussed back then.

And just where have the police been seen rounding up Haitians, to quote you "Police have been seen rounding up Haitians, kicking or clubbing them, dragging them through the streets in massive arrests." been taking place? Not down here where they come ashore by the hundreds and I live. It has been openly discussed many time and under many Presidents about rounding them up along with every other illegal alien, but no one has ever done anything about it to date. Koch was only referring to those in jail for some crime.

I've seen it myself in NYC back in the early to mid 80s. Unfortunately, the bigoted news media chose to ignore it.

Hispanics were not roughed up en masse as the cops were afraid of confusing them with Puerto Ricans who are American citizens and have a very strong lobby at City Hall. Asians also escaped police harassment as they have a very large middle and upper middle class. Cops never bother wealthy illegals as money talks.

Bush brought them in. His party was the Congressional majority for most of the time he was in the White House. Democrats have enough problems on their mind without having to un-due every mess the GOP created. Furthermore, the government's action in removing Hispanics without touching European illegals will be viewed as a racist act in applying the law on a selective basis. Any politician who uses the law on such a a racist and selective basis will jeopardize their career. So don't expect any action soon.
