My family understands that if I can't smoke in their houses, I won't visit much. Besides, they live in rural Saskatchewan...about half of their friends still smoke.

Ha! That's just what my sister says! :lol:
I missed a few smokers in my last head-count, but my sister is still the only smoker at a family get-together, more often than not.
There's three other puffers on my mom's side of the family, and an aunt and cousin on my Dad's side, who smoke - six out of almost thirty adults, altogether.

I'm also finding out just how incidious this little addiction is. I'll be sitting working away just fine then suddenly I'm about to get up and go for a smoke. Or I think 'it''d be a good time to go for a smoke now" It's not really even me that's thinking it. It's the addiction telling my brain it's time for one.

My mom once tried to stop. We pushed her to start smoking again after the third murder attempt on us in just five days 8O
By the way, I think it is very brave of you to stop, Twila! It does require some extreme discipline and perseverance!

Hey Twila, I'm not trying to encourage you to go back to the dreaded weed or anything, but as well as the delights of nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar, those lovely coffin nails also contain other surprises, such as:
Acetone, more commonly used in nail polish remover.
Ammonia, used in the dry cleaning industry.
Arsenic, a deadly poison used in pest control and insecticides.
Benzene, a cancer-causing agent used in the production of fuel and chemicals.
Cadmium, a very poisonous chemical that can cause liver, kidney and brain damage, used in batteries.
Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen used to preserve dead bodies.
Now hand me that lighter ...

Yeah, nevermind. I'm old and and married and if that actually worked it would kill me and if it didn't Mrs. Rev would. All in life is balance...
What I want to know is how the hell anybody types anything without a smoke in his or her mouth? It's worse than driving for making me want a smoke. If I could drive and type at the same time, I'd have to smoke 3 cigarettes at once.
