I found out lately that the violin is glued together with animal glue. It makes perfect sense because of its advantages, but for whatever reason, while I could accept the horse-hair bow, the makeup of the rest of the instrument never crossed my mind.
Oh well, now that I've bought it, I'll learn it. Maybe I could switch to an electric violin later on in a few years.
Now that could be fun.
I think Yamaha sells those.
Or I could buy one sooner. The electric violins do have the advantage that you can really bring the volume down on them... or up
Oh, now that I have the elctrict violin in mind, I really want to learn it.
