I don't know if anybody else noticed, but Bush was giving a speech to some army guys about the war on terror this morning, pointedly ignoring that Fitzgerald was going to be making an announcement. The military is answer to everything. Have a storm, call in the military. Need some oil, send in the Marines.
There may be a terror announcement in the next few weeks, but my guess is that it will be about Syria or Venezuela and by the rhetoric will require at least a limited military response. Either that, or their will be another Falluja-sized attack on some Iraqis.
Bush knows that the news will show computer images of smart bombs exploding before it shows some not-to-smart guy bombing.
the question that remains........is how in feck do these bozos continue to get away with all this crap??? What happened to the voices of the US population??

they get away with it because they are fecking shrewd and more or less have the mainstream media under their thumbs.
Though hopefully that will change with the indictments going on. It should be too much for the media to not report.

I don't think unlike us many Americans watch (if they even can get it) forgein news and they just go by what they see on CNN and Faux, which both rarely say anything to negative about "W".

as you both (No. 1 and Andygal)......indicate.....the media is very much a part of this "phenomena" .........Sometimes I wonder if they (americans) would even know about Iraq if they had not invaded it. They still know nothing about the Iraqi .....or Afganistan culture.
So essentially ......"we" are seeing an uninformed public...and getting more uninformed all the time. Seems too that for so long they felt like they are the center of the universe.....and believe it...........so other places are insignificant to them. They all have a similar trait/characteristic and that is.......operating in life as if it is all about them.
sure hope there are more charges and that the investigation digs deeper and deeper. All those bozos are tied into this whole mess together......, it is just a matter of finding the weakest link..
and my own perception is that the weakest link is the one on center stage....bush. but he is protected and surrounded by layers of "rotweillers" ..... IMHO......I don't think he could even handle an intensive questioning.---particularly at a public hearing.
