You folks seem pretty hung up on the origins and reasons for existence of the monster truck driver and his partner in crime. Fact: If they had have been true red-necks they would have rolled that monster truck right over your shiny new car to get to the gas pump! After that they would have beaten you to a pulp just for making them wait! The resulting high speed chase killing a mini van full of preschoolers and causing a major delay on the only road in and out of town(Macleod Trail) About as far fetched as the evil eye in the grocery store and huge scratch on your car story! I believe the question was how's Calgary AB? ( a grammatical error in it's self) not; Hey can you tell me a bedtime story about when you and Uncle Jake fought off them injuns down by the river!
It is that kind of exaggeration that leads to stereo typing in the first place.(Although the writer is correct in their evaluation of monster truck driving meatheads....There do seem to be a lot of them in Calgary, not from Ft. Mac though, more like say Nanton or Champion or even Vulcan. I think those types of peeps are the result of in-breeding, we do have quite a few hutterite colonies in Southern Alberta..lol
OH by the way Calgary is a great place to live if you like hiking skiing mountain biking
or just being close to nature. Hell of a good place to get an edumacation too! that's redneck for education case you was wonderin.:study:
