A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As he raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on his face,he inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz. He replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."
He continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything." It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night. Remember to put the glass down!

Once while on a trek on a mountain I was told of a Holy man that resided year round near the mountain top.
I was also informed that it cost xxx dollars to take the path.Very very expensive. I thanked him, said no and he replied that I would have been the last to make the trek as it was getting dark and no one aside from the Holy man was allowed on the mountain after sunset.

I thanked him and went on my way. Found another path and up the mountain I go. After a couple of hours I come across this Holy man. He asked how I was allowed up as it was not permitted for person to take the trek after a specific time.

I informed him I was walking found a path and that is how I arrived here.

He then asked me Goober if I asked you to hold a small rock in your right hand for 10 minutes and a small pebble in your right hand for 2 hours which would be most difficult.

I pondered that and replied both. He asked why.

I informed him that a large or small pebble can both cause the same pain, a pebble can cause more depending upon who and how it was inflicted.

He rolled his eyes and said Goober you are the only one that answered correctly.
He then pulled out a big doobie and asked if I wished to partake.

I informed him i could not as I had to walk down the mountain tonight.

he told me not to worry that he would get me off the mountain safely.

So we sat back and smoked a dammed fine doobie.

A tad later I hear a terrible noise.

I asked him what that was.

He told me that was the chopper that picks him up every night. Did people think he stayed here all year round.
That was just for charging the hippies a big fat fee and business was booming.
