I only keep about ten dollars in my purse, I use debit all the time.
Someone told me the other day that in the u.s. hardly anyone uses 'debit', is
that true, seems unbelievable, they said that the u.s. still uses cheques most of the time,
or credit cards.
Are they that backward!!!

I have used a debit card exactly twice in my life.

I prefer lovely, anonymous cash money. I go take it out of the ATM...........

I pay all my bills by cheque.

There are times went I have to have cash and when I do, I get it from the super market by getting extra cash when I buy groceries. Generally speaking, I don't usually have cash on me. I have several debit cards plus Mastercard and VISA and most bills I can pay online. Does anyone else hate the new system where you have to pay for your gas before you pump it?

Hubby complained about that his first couple times down in Houston. But, the last couple he's seeing debit more and more places. The big difference is that in the US, they had bank machines on darn near every corner long before we had a few in each town. So when debit hit here, it made perfect sense given the lack of bank machines in many places. There, if there's a bank machine on the corner why, as a store owner, should you pay more money to use a debit?
