"Today, the world is at war," they wrote. "A coalition of countries under the leadership of the U.K. and the U.S. is leading a military intervention to disarm Saddam Hussein. Yet Prime Minister Jean Chretien has left Canada outside this multilateral coalition of nations.

This is a serious mistake."

Actually turned out to be pretty smart. Not that you'd ever hear Harper admit it.

Why wait, join now.

I did that back in 1997 when I joined the Royal Navy as a 16 year old straight from school. I served a number of years before leaving and going to the University of Bolton (or the Bolton Institute of Higher Education as it was known back then).

But if WWIII broke out tomorrow I'd rejoin the RN. I'm still of the age where, by law, I'm still on standby to rejoin the navy should I need to.
