How Gordon Ramsay made a grown-man cry on American TV

Gordon Ramsay has unleashed his fiery temper on America - making a grown man cry.

The chef branded 48-year-old Aaron a "chunky monkey" on the new US series of Hell’s Kitchen.

He had joked in the opening minutes of the show that he would be easier on the contestants than he is on the British version - but broke his promise within minutes.

Boo-hoo!: the hot-headed British chef, left, made a US contestant cry

Ramsay reduced Aaron, who works as chef at a residential home, to blubbering like a child and complaining of feeling unwell.

Aaron had turned up to the Los Angeles-based show in a Stetson, to which Ramsay sneered: "I have never seen an Asian cowboy."

He had to leave the kitchen several times because he said he felt "faint."

Earlier Ramsay told the cameras: "I am known for losing my temper. But this time things are going to be a lot different. The competing chefs will not make idiotic mistakes. And most importantly I will not scream, swear. Oh come on, who am I trying to kid?"

As well as tears from Aaron, other contestants were left with their heads in their hands after his devastating critique of their signature dishes. He even told one chef his risotto tasted like "gnat’s piss".

But it was a female chef, Tiffany, who got the boot - for failing to fry eggs correctly.

Daily Mail?

No wonder no one would want to put their name to that. I watched the show and anyone who has seen this program or any other of Gordon Ramsay's programs, knows what to expect.

"Made a grown man cry."

Hey dumbass it's called ratings! Or didn't you know this was TV? heh heh

I actually thought that Gordon Ramsey was pretty easy on them last night compared to last season. As for the male crier, Ramsey kept on asking him if he was ok in a very quiet voice which I didn't know know Ramsey even had. The crier has to go...he must be having a breakdown or something because his behaviour just is normal and Ramsey did nothing to justify all those tears.

Frankly, compared to last season, I think that most...not all...of those new chefs under Ramsey need to get a set of cajones.

I love Gordon Ramsay...he's great. He can tear a person apart...BUT...he can also build them like a champ. He's my favourite...well...I shouldn't say that...I like Jamie Oliver. I am not a fan of Anthony Bourdain. But, Gordon? Oh ya...I like that guy.

I find it difficult to believe that some of these contestants aren't ringers.

I mean there are a few chefs in there that can cook but there also are a few that seem hopeless. Who the hell becomes a chef and can cook eggs? I wonder if this isn't just a lot of extras and a contest between a few people.
