What's this Coke you speak of? I'm afraid my system hasn't touched that crap in months after swearing it off. Can't say I miss it or any other soft drinks.

Have you lost any weight in the process.. and good for you..

I used to drink 3 liters a day.. sorta like a cigarette habit I had to have a can in my hand.

Now I am drinking more Aquifina Plus+ and maybe 1 can of coke cola a day when I get a migraine because of caffeine withdrawal..

‘Illicit drugs’ and sodas cause similar dental damage: Study

It's like Climate Change nay-Sayers.. there is always someone out there that will tell you breathing in exhaust fumes will cause you no harm.

In this case, will tell you coke does not harm to your teeth, body, whatever, when it clearly does.

Thanks! I did a bit but with the 'college diet', I gained that dreaded Freshman 15. I have been moving a bit more since I have got back home on the other hand. I've been doing a few runs, squats, sit ups and push ups as well as watching what I eat and how much I eat. I've upped my veggie and fruit intake and I have switched to mutligrain bread. I've also been drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day and I always start the day off with hot water and lemon juice.

I've gone from 180 to 169Ibs in the span of a week. I'd say I'm pretty proud of myself. And I get up bright and energized in the morning, too!

Your link says it has potential. Pretty much ANYTHING you stick in your mouth has potential. Big deal. The link I posted deals in facts, not potentials.
And you haven't shown that Livescience is paid by pop companies.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days (meat will completely dissolve).
Your stomach acids will do it faster like in about an hour.

All those soda's are rotting your stomach. If I am to drink a pop, it is usually ginger ale, and I really like the green tea one.
When down in the USA it is really hard to find. Thinking I should pack some of that, but room is limited the way we travel to US.
It appears that coke has many uses, none of them good for humans though.

My Dad always said ruining good booze by mixing pop in, and that is where the hang over comes from, is the pop. The old man never had a hang over.

Whatever. I might have an occasional ginger ale and Anna a root beer, but between the two of us it might be 5 or 6 per year. We don't often put mix in our drinks either.

I'm with you here Les. I too have maybe 1/2 a dozen bottles (small ones or
cans) each year. Every couple of months I'll crave one and buy a Dr.Pepper
or something...& after the first couple of onces...I'm good for another couple
of months.

I too also use water for mix in my drinks, as I can then taste what I'm drinking.

that kidney stone this year cured me of many bad habits...pop being one of them, haven't had one since and don't intend to have one any time soon either...

as for hangovers it's about dehydration... don't drink enough to dehydrate you and you won't be hung over.
