I said they participated, this is how the conversation began. If you don't want to accept it, good on you. It doesn't surprise me honestly at all.

How am I not accepting it? I've never denied they wern't there. Your stupidity is beginning not to surpise me at all, honestly.

You have any arguments to make said1 other than personal attacks?

Go re-read above posts.

I'm quoting what the CBC said and the author from the article I posted. If they are lying or twisting facts then so am I.

The article isn't specific about what they are doing there, that much you have admitted. Your claim that they are part of the coalition liberating Iraq has yet to be proven by you, with anything. Did you look at the links I gave you, look around the site a little??

You didn't read the article I posted, if you had, you will see the author goes into detail about Canadas role in Iraq. did you bother reading it? And yes I read the excerpts you posted. That part has nothing to do with what the author claims. Read the article. And comment on what HE says.

What article?

Nobody is denying this, I think not. We are objecting to your attempts to use it as a justification for the actions of your own country. You are blowing this out of proportion.

There are plenty of things to go after Canada on. I really don't understand why you are hung up on this one.

You, like the Rev, always seem to "know" what others intentions are. These evasive tactics of putting others on the defense is hilarious. Is that the new mode of avoiding a topic? And I'm having a conversation here with Said1, which we can't seem to even get the story straight. If you don't want to participate then don't , no one is forcing you

I'm not going after Canada on anything, I'm trying to add some Canadian Content to an obviously American Content site.

Was it what's on second, or who's on first? :D

The uranium issue is a much more productive topic of debate, as is Canada's contribution to sustainable development in Latin America etc. Wouldn't you say??

I would say that. I could throw in another half dozen things just off the top of my head too.

Won't they just get bogged down in the same old thing? I've only been here a couple of days, but that seems to be a problem. This thread started out as a discussion about democracy, for instance.

True enough, but then why post anything at all? Threads get off topic all the time (although this one is an exception for extreme). I don't mind if they evolve onto other things, discussions tend to do that in everyday life.

Do we need 6 or 7 threads on 30 Canadians who may or may not have seen combat in Iraq though? Is anything involving Canada-US relations (most of what Canada gets involved in that's bad seems to be tied to the US in some way) going to become the same old thing? You see my point...maybe after this has died down I'll give it a try though.

Not really, and I wasn't referring to Canadian's in Iraq, I meant threads on other issues involving Canada in the international scene. I doubt they will turn into Iraq.
