So, I finally mastered something about this 'calorie count' site that I was previously unaware was there, and, was the main reason I've quit most calorie counting in the past. The problem for me has always been that I don't eat a whole lot of prepackaged food. I whip up a lot of impromptu recipes. So, trying to count calories becomes a struggle when you've made up, say, a casserole. And of course I rarely cook from a recipe, which complicates matters further.

Well, now I have the convenience of the 'new recipe' function on the calorie count site. Type in how many servings the recipe will be split into, all the ingredients, hit 'analyze', and it gives you a calorie count per serving. Or, just type it all in as one serving and then figure out how many servings you have to split it into in order to fit into your daily intake. brilliant!

Thanks VanIsle

I haven't checked the actual bottle so I grabbed one from the fridge - there are 8floz serving sizes = 120 per serving or 240ML - approximately six servings per bottle (which is about right for me - it fills me up very quickly).

OK reading the other stuff in the mix:

Total Fat 0g
Sodium 70mg (3% daily value)
Potassium 210mg (6% daily value)
Total Carbohydrates 28g (9% daily value)
Sugars 26g
Proteins 1g

As I type this I have no idea what it all means - only that I drink one full bottle about two days if I am on a regular schedule and wasn't using it for anything but thirst and getting some Vitamins of which there are 100% in the mixture. I am a terrible eating planner. Living alone is strange for me and often I'll go to bed and realize I skipped dinner...forgetting it.

I am honestly a junk food junkie and if I wasn't so hyper would probably weigh far more than I do. I
was merely trying to "drink" some healthy stuff to introduce my body to the better things in life hehe.
In comparison to many things, sodium isn't too bad. Sugar count is high but maybe they classify it as natural and hopefully that means it's less "bad" for you. Karrie says it is rated B, so assuming A is the best, B must be pretty good. I am not a juice fan so it has only graced my lips to appease my husband who bought a bottle of it on our last camping trip. I just thew out the balance of the bottle last week. Seemed it was great to try out but no one went back for seconds. When I worked at the store, it was a very popular item. Grandkids all had a taste and said it was okay but everyone of them declined more than a couple of ounces. They may have been different had we not been camping.

I have yet to get into the site at all other than a quick glance. I have found in the past that once you start to become familiar with certain amounts, you really don't have to do much measuring or counting to know where you are at. It does sound like a really good feature to help a person become very aware of what amount is crossing the lips though. I'm sure I packed in more than a few calories last night. I don't even want to know how many. My husband buys a box of Quaker Harvest Crunch once in awhile. He left it open on the counter and that stuff is like candy to me. I can't quit snacking on it. We leave on our little camping trip today. I hope he eats all of it and then I won't be able to touch it. Yikes - 230 calories in 2/3 cup!
