Well my argument may be best to you but the way our current system works, each province's voice is competing against the other and this system clearly doesn't work hence the eternal pursuit of representation by Quebec and the West.

If each province was given most of the legislative powers and united with the others for defense, currency and banking, and common goals like Health care, their voices wouldn't have to compete in Ottawa. Each province needs to have more control over its affairs in its provincial legislature.

I hope more and more people will realize the advantages of each province running most of the its own show and being represented in Ottawa for common needs and goals.

Adriatik....I concur with your assessment of the situation. It's just a very tough sell
when your province is 3% of the total population of the country. It would be much
easier if you could swing around a 25% of the total population of the country BlocK.
Catch 22 situation. You're on the right track. Now run for Federal Office so I can
vote for you.

If the Federal government only handled jurisdictions that affect each province equally, we wouldn't need representation by population.. Since the federal government would control things that affect all Canadians, each province could have the same number of MPs. This way, each province would get equal representation regardless of its population percentage. This would give Canadians the chance to have equal say on matters that touch us all.

With more powers controlled by the provinces, Canadians would be able to control specific matters regionally, kinda like a group of ultra autonomous provinces that cooperate with each other to be stronger.

We would be stronger this way because we wouldn't have to struggle against each other for power because the power would be in the provinces directly, not in Ottawa. This is the best way.

If I could convince people that this is the best path, yes I would run for federal office..

I believe elected Senators would be much better for Canada and everyone who lives in Canada. Political Appointees are always bad news waiting to happen - sooner or later.
