This post is entitled 'Harper Hates Women'. This post was about Harper. Even if it's not how you meant to post, you posted an attack, and people are expecting you to back up your assertions. There is another thread, posted about Ms.Martin, where people actually addressed the issue of her imprisonment and what government's responsibilities to her should be. That post didn't make assertions that people expect proven.

No not an attack at all, I am a citizen of Canada as you are I am sure that we both have a set of civil liberties, when your civil liberties are violated you must speak loud as I am sure you would. But, when your civil liberties have been denied to you by a government who is obviously in very poor knowledge of civil liberties when in fact the person has not been given the benefit of the dought. That Karrie is a serious violation, so, who do you think is the right person to call? The embassy is out of the question two years have gone by and no result. The Harper government have demonstrated very poor judgement in Mrs Martins case, instead the Harper Government has appropriated 2b dollars to protect women in a different country, while a real Canadian is left to dye in a foreign prison, shame on Harper with his two face diplomacy. If Bush was in the picture with Mrs. Martin he would have been there like flies on we know what.

But Harper hates women according to you, so it makes no sense that he would spend money to save them elsewhere Socrates.

Karrie, we look at history to realise conservatism through the world has been crassing the rights of women. That I am not making up,
that is the reportcard of Conservative thinking. A problem which has been around for thousands of years. If Bush was a part of the picture Mrs. Martin would have been free long time ago. And Karrie I hate to say this to you, but if you were Mrs. Martin you would be wearing the same shoes as Mrs. Martin. You see?

What has her situation to do with gender Socrates? What is different about her situation from other Canadians sitting in other foreign prisons? This is where your assertions that her remaining there is based on her gender fail to convince me. There is no difference between her and any other number of Canadians who have gotten wrapped up in shady dealings around the world. The fact that she owns breasts and a vagina does not make her special.

Maggie Thatcher was the best male prime minister there ever was.

Karrie, how interesting as we approaching election time the Conservative minister is looking into resolving this once and for all. The silver lining here is that Mrs. Martin will not die, the bad part is that the optics surrounding a caring PM are very poor and that is Harper's report card on the mare Harper being a compassionate Prime Minister. No Thanks! Come election time there will be a minority Torry Government for sure. The Conservatives have not proven them self as a competent driving government, rather a bunch of hard nose right wingers.

*sigh* see, you can't do a darn thing to prove your assertions, you just dodge off into a different insinuation about him instead.

Never mind Socrates.

I never thought for a minute that because of her female body she should get preferential treatment. On the fact that Harper claims he is a compassionate PM the truth is, he dose have a hidden agenda. Two years is a long time wearing Mrs. Martins shoes and the sexual parts are not a part of this equation my dear.

On the fact that Harper claims he is a compassionate PM when in fact the hidden agenda becomes obvious. Two years is a long time wearing Mrs. Martins shoes and the sexual parts are not a part of this equation my dear.
Is she innocent?

Do you know she is not? And how do you know?

Nope, I don't.

So, that being now on the table, why is it Harpo should play the Bond routine and sift her out of jail?

There are actually unanswered question in this case.

How do you feel about the US when they stick their noses in our Judicial jurisdiction?

From what I've read, she's innocent of what they arrested her for, but guilty of being there working illegally. Two years is longer than any person should remain in jail without a trial, and that is a definite cause for concern. It's a matter of international law that people should not be held this long without trial.

It has to do with protecting Canada's population abroad.
Many unanswered questions. And the problem here is that the Canadian Government dosent think that this story has any meat at the end, except a torchered vote, which belongs to a forgotten Canadian.
As for the American global attitude the suck.

Do you ever answer direct questions? Or is doing the leftoid shuffle your primary course of discussion?

Not much we can do other than pressure the Mexican goverment to deal with her case expidiciously, two years is ridiculous. Also, not sure why Canadians keep going to that crap hole anyways considering the difficulties with situations like this and the one with the Ianiero's.

There is also a law within Mexico that allows the president to expel any forgiener for being a "nuisance".
