A man accused of biting off his girlfriend’s nose on New Year’s Eve showed no emotion during a brief court appearance in a Milton court on Tuesday.
Nick Grewal, 30, is facing the charges of aggravated assault, forcible confinement and failing to comply with his probation after allegedly biting off Allyson Danylko’s nose at his Oakville residence.
After his court appearance, Grewal offered no comment when asked about how he planned to proceed with the charges against him.
He was represented by a paralegal, who was issued documents outlining details of the prosecution’s case by the Crown.
Grewal is slated to return to court on Feb. 25.

Grewal and Danylko had been drinking and fighting while out on the town on New Year’s Eve.
Danylko told the Toronto Sun that Grewal had been acting weird and angry because she had planned a trip to Costa Rica without him.

Danylko alleged that after the pair returned to his Oakville home, he cornered her in a bathroom and bit off her nose. None of the allegations against Grewal have been tested in court.

Just seven weeks before the New Year’s Eve attack, Grewal was conditionally discharged for a booze-fueled attack in which he allegedly choked Danylko with both hands.
Danylko is saving to have plastic surgery to reconstruct her nose which is likely to include using cartilage and skin from her ear.
