I can't be the only one who watches a Star Wars film and then thinks right afterwards: "What the Hell was that all about?"

The Hours director Stephen Daldry is in early talks with Disney bosses to direct an Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars spin-off.
As Ron Howard tackles the studio’s stand-alone Han Solo movie, another iconic character from the sci-fi franchise is set to get his own film - and three-time Oscar nominee Daldry appears to be the front-runner to direct, according to Deadline.com. He was nominated for his direction of Billy Elliot (2000), The Hours (2002) and The Reader (2006).
There are no casting details, but both the late Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor have portrayed the wise Jedi master in the Star Wars movies.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi film is expected to start shooting once Howard has completed his Han Solo project, which stars Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Alden Ehrenreich as a young Solo, the mercenary character Harrison Ford played in the Star Wars epics.
Howard’s film is set for release next summer.
