First of all not all Republicans are against the gay movement. The social conservatives
in the Republican Party they are, but they are against everything anyway and their lifestyle
is wearing thin.
As for American people they are starting to wonder what all the fuss is about. Older people
won't change for the most part, death is the only cure for some.
Young people are just fine with gay marriage and lifestyle for those who want it. As for it has
brought misery to "those people" as it were is nonsense. There are straight people, gay people
and so on who are in health crisis because they were not responsible, not because they were
anything else.
Democracy and an open society has many problems for one thing if we are going to have an
open society we have to be open. The behaviour of the social conservatives comes down to
this "Everyone should have rights as long as some don't want to exercise those rights"
The real sad fact is people have to closet themselves because some can't express themselves
in America of all places. Remember the song from the sixties? Home of the brave?
If some people didn't attach a stigma to it there wouldn't be a problem. The other question I have
is why are some so religious they put rigid conditions on life while Christ was inclusive and
tried to reach out to everyone?
