it all makes sense that this happened. fairy tales aren't scientificaly possible and the bible is.

Vanni, you will never find the "proof" you seek. It's a matter of faith, its as simple as that.

That's not good enough...there are far more logical, testable, and certain answers out there than this fairy tale...

The whole concept of religion and God is spurious at best...

Like I said, you will never find proof. Anything short of a burning cross in the sky, lit 24 hours a day, like Carl Sagan once remarked, will convince you. And then you probably won't either.

I think a first step in having faith is having hope, if you can't have hope you can't have faith.

ITN is right you have to take a step of faith.(leap) though one day you'll be in a situation where's you'll come to meet god because no one can sin enough(besides th devil) to be forever condemned to hell without a 2nd chance.

u know what the sabbath is? a day of rest- good for life. anyway the first covenant was cancelled when the new one came.

It was written in the Ten Commandments...were those cancelled too?

no but no one ever says now that the sabbath was on -what did you say the sabbath was on

The Torah does...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shabbat

Shabbat is a day of celebration as well as one of prayer. Three festive meals are eaten each Shabbat: on Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and early Saturday evening before the conclusion of the Shabbat. All Jews are encouraged to attend services at a synagogue during Shabbat, even if they would not normally do so on weekdays.

Absolutely I do believe in God, although I don't consider myself a religious fanatic. I respect others' opinion about religion as long as they don't try to cram it down my throat.

i still think god would have told someone if we were in trouble for doing it whatever way. anyway you do what you want because i beleive that god'll come through to you so if you don't want to talk about this anymore then that's fine do you still want that proof though?

Well if the "Christian Church" and their "God" is the only god, then why did the diferent area's of the world have diferent views/beliefs before "christianity" travelled the globe?

Like North and South america the native people had their spirits, asia had buddah and believe in reincarnation, Hindus have multiple gods and believe in re-incarnation and europe was "christian"(and many variants of christianity). Middle east area believed in Allah except for the Jewish people and they(jewish) do not believe Jesus was gods son or in hell. Not to mention ancient Gods of diferent areas.

But why did all these diferent regions all come up their own beliefs and not the same? That is my point.

i guess not but you learn stuff and it keeps you on track gives you something to do on the sabbath.

I help kids go to college, I have my hands full as it is, and if I go to chruch, I may run the risk of being asked to build an ark and I just can't afford it quite honestly.

no time for god? or just don't like church?

I'm sorry Slurpie, I have been reading and reading this thread, and I am getting irritated. It is people like you that keep people like me OUT OF CHURCH. I don't need your ideals FORCED down my throat. As far as the putting down of ITN you are OUT OF LINE. If not for people like ITN, there would be good people missing out on an education. I don't think you should assume these people have closed minds. Seriously you are out of line.

Oh ya, it's Monday.... Where is this proof? IF you have a friend that provides proof of GOD Why doesn't he have his own talk show, his own church, his own newspaper. There is no proof of God and you know it.
