Girl loses tooth in assault rampage at Walmart in Georgetown

A six-year-old girl lost a tooth in a seemingly random attack on shoppers inside a Walmart in Georgetown over the weekend.
Halton Regional Police were called around 6:45 p.m. Sunday after a woman allegedly entered the store and began assaulting people.
The girl was attacked just inside the entrance, Sgt. Barry Malciw said Monday. The woman allegedly grabbed her by her hair and threw her to the ground. The impact resulted in a tooth being knocked out, Malciw said.
The woman then allegedly went on to assault three adults and an 8-year-old before being arrested. Those four people suffered minor injuries.
Malciw said it is still undetermined if drugs were a factor, but did say there is nothing to indicate alcohol was involved. He couldn’t comment on the suspect’s mental health.
Jennifer Young Rattry, 39, of Georgetown, has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and four counts of assault.
She was being held pending a bail hearing.
