The whole point is to get you hooked so that you keep buying blades, because that's where the profit is. Like printer ink.
yes, I agree. In fact, when I have marketing discussions, I've often heard people casually and confidently refer to "the razorblade model" knowing that the industry and that kind of approach are so closing fused( no pun intended) together.
